First Family by David Baldacci

I was a little leery getting into this one after reading the Camel Club series-loved the stories but way too much sex and profanity!
I kept waiting for it all through the book but was pleasantly surprised to find NO f-words, very little sex, just some violence mostly. Yes, there was still profanity and sex, just not as bad.
The book starts off with the kidnapping of Willa Dutton, favorite niece of the First Lady. Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, former Secret Service agents and current private investigators, find themselves caught up in things having shown up at the house just after the kidnapping occurred (Sean is friends with the family.) What ensues is non-stop action with lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Sure, some of it is completely unbelievable but fun to read nonetheless! This is the 2nd book in the series following Simple Genius but it works well as a stand-alone book as well. I really liked the interaction between Sean and Michelle. They are both full-fledged characters, something you don't always find in an action novel.
Rated PG-16 for the profanity, sex, and violence as mentioned above, which is good for a David Baldacci action novel!
