Burn felt like a bait and switch scheme. I started out liking the book with it's feisty blue-collar heroine who wins the lottery but after that it becomes a completely different book. Several years after the lottery win she goes on a cruise and ends up being held hostage in order to thwart a bomb scheme (I know, it just doesn't make sense.) It was in the second half that the whole book falls apart, not just with the plot but the language becomes more foul and the sex scenes start. Really, really not good at all. Rated R.
