Harry Bosch is a detective in South L.A. and has seen pretty much everything. He gets called in on a homicide investigation at a Chinese liquor. The owner has been shot to death but the case is curious. The killing is blamed on a Chinese gang member, a member of a Hong Kong triad. He enlists the help of his teenage daughter to decifer some of the Chinese characters he finds tatooed on the murder victim. She ends up missing and Harry drops everything to try to find her.
I really didn't get very far into this book, the violence and profanity was just too much for me. Rated R.
